Evah Frances Osborne Memorial Health Professions Scholarship

Evah Frances Osborne Memorial Health Professions Scholarship

The Evah Frances Osborne Memorial Health Professions Scholarship was established in 2006 through a bequest received from Evah Osborne. Evah was born in 1908 in Wellsville, Mo., and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. She attended Kansas City Business College and spent her working career at Montgomery Ward & Company, where she was assistant to the regional operating manager. She retired in 1973 as the regional budget analyst after 45 years with the company. It was there that she met Helen Sims, with whom she shared a home for more than 50 years. After they retired, Evah and Helen enjoyed traveling to Europe and throughout the United States. Both died in 2006.

This scholarship is for deserving students in the School of Health Professions.
