Fred McElhenie Scholarship

Consideration will be given to undergraduate students residing in facilities operated by the Department of Student Housing. Student “salaried staff” employees are not eligible. Recipients must reside in a facility operated by the Department of Student Housing during the academic year when the scholarship will be received. Preference will be given to applicants profiling significant and positive involvement in assisting others in a volunteer status within the KU community, the City of Lawrence, or their hometown. Financial need and demonstrated leadership in their living unit and/or in campus organizations will also be taken into consideration.
