KU International Transfer Award Application

KU International Transfer Award
An award of $1,000-$7,000 for transfer students. To be considered, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
You must be a transfer student, starting at KU in Fall 2024.
Required documents: CV/Resume and one letter of recommendation (other materials optional)

All awards are renewable.

Supplemental Questions
  1. U.S. Permanent residents are not eligible to receive the KU IEA. Students must be F-1 or J-1 while attending KU to be eligible for the KU IEA.

    Have you or someone on your behalf applied for US permanent residency? If you are in the process of applying for permanent residence please contact ISS (iss@ku.edu) to discuss your eligibility. Depending on where you are in the process, it may be to your benefit to apply to KU as a U.S. domestic student and be considered for other scholarships.
  2. (For community college transfer students only) Are you a Phi Theta Kappa member?
  3. Please upload a resume or CV describing all your extracurricular activities, leadership, service and awards.
  4. Please upload your first letter of recommendation.
