Tradition of Excellence Award

About the Award

The Tradition of Excellence Award is awarded to University of Kansas students who are dedicated to upholding the prestige and history of the students who came before them, and who wish to continue carving a path of distinction for the future. Often seen as visionaries and leaders among their peers, these students strive to contribute to the development and ongoing success of the University of Kansas. Whether they enrich the learning of others by serving as a teaching assistant, dedicate themselves to their chosen student organization, donate their time through service to the Lawrence community or just enjoy being the captain of their dorm’s intramural team, these students actively and positively enhance the KU community through a variety of avenues. They all share one common goal: leaving their positive, lasting legacy at the University of Kansas. Funding for this award is provided by the philanthropic activities of the Student Alumni & Endowment Board and KU Endowment.
