This fund shall be used to provide direct financial support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender student community at the University of Kansas. Support may include, but is not limited to, scholarships, awards, emergency support, research support, and leadership development. To assist the University in building the diverse community that is essential to achieving its stated mission, the University may select recipients based on criteria that will contribute to the diversity of the student body. If the University determines it appropriate to consider for purposes of diversity, students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender may also be a factor, but it will not be dipositive of a decision. Expenditures from the fund shall be made upon the recommendation of the director of the Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity with the approval of KU Endowment.
