DIVERSITY SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIP

This fund shall be used to provide undergraduate scholarships for students at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus. To assist the University in building the diverse community that is essential to achieving its stated mission, the University may select recipients based on criteria that will contribute to the diversity of the student body. If the University determines it appropriate to consider for purposes of diversity, selecting recipients from underrepresented populations may be a factor, but will not be dispositive of a decision. Preference shall be given to recipients of scholarships supported by the Sunderland Fund at Johnson County Community College, Kansas City Kansas Community College and Metropolitan Community College. KU Edwards Campus staff will coordinate communications with the community colleges to inform scholarship recipients of the Edwards scholarship opportunity. The scholarship shall be in the amount of $1,000 per semester and the recipients thereof shall be determined by an appropriate committee approved by the Chancellor.
