“The Fund shall be used to provide scholarships to deserving post-baccalaureate students in the School of Arts at the University of Kansas who exhibit merit and academic promise. It is the donor’s preference that the awards be fewer in number and larger in amount; that they be renewable for a second year only in extraordinary circumstances; that graduates of Kansas high schools be preferred where the requirement of academic excellence is not compromised in such a selection; and that graduates with either non-existent or more limited financial means be given a priority of consideration.

Scholarships will be awarded to graduate students in Painting and Sculpture. Graduate students in Arts are frequently required to produce ""one-artist showings"" of their work. When such exhibitions by recipients of these scholarships occur, the source of the scholarships should be referred to in all programming and publicity concerning such events. The amounts of the awards and the recipients thereof shall be determined by an appropriate committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences."
