Gary L. Grunewald School of Pharmacy Scholarship

The fund shall be used to provide scholarships for students with academic merit in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Kansas. It is the donor’s intent to provide scholarships covering full in-state tuition and fees to at least one student entering their P2 year and at least one student entering their P3 year in the School of Pharmacy. It is the intent of the donor that the funds in excess of the award amount be reinvested annually in the fund to provide growth above the baseline growth managed by KU Endowment. To be eligible students must be in the top 10% of their class as determined by the School of Pharmacy Dean’s Office and provide an essay of 500 words or less answering a question posed that year by the scholarship committee in the School of Pharmacy. Extracurricular activities/participation will also be considered in determining awardees. It is also the wish of the donor that special consideration be given to qualified applicants with a physical disability. The P2 scholarship awardee will be eligible to apply the following year for the P3 scholarship along with any other P3 candidates who qualify for this award. The amounts of the scholarship and the recipients thereof shall be determined by an appropriate committee approved by the Dean of the School of Pharmacy.
