Mentored Scholars Program Design
In addition to the scholarship funds, the awardees will receive mentoring from a designated faculty member on academic and professional development as well as opportunities for participating in social and cultural events with peer scholarship recipients. The scholarship is determined by the qualified candidates’ financial need, Pell Grant eligibility, first generation college student status, and rural and Title IV high school background. Once granted, the scholarship will continue until the recipients graduate in the selected degree program if they maintain the minimum GPA and other advising engagements required for the scholarship.
