Warhawk Family of Scholarships
A series of scholarships are available for military-affiliated students.
Thanks to the generous support of donors, we are able to offer a series of scholarships that we call the “Warhawk Family of Scholarships” – to outstanding student veterans/military, to those who have been injured or wounded in the line of duty, and to military family members.
The 1941 Jayhawk, unofficially nicknamed the “War Hawk,” is a favorite of the KU military-affiliated community. Around just during wartime years 1941-1946, this energetic, “ready-for-battle” look was a significant time in our nation’s history. The Servicemen’s Readjustment Act of 1944, aka the GI Bill®, was one of the most significant changes to higher education – it made college accessible to millions.
