C.W. Spencer Scholarships in Political Science

The Fund shall be used to provide scholarships to deserving post-baccalaureate students in Political Science at the University of Kansas who exhibit merit and academic promise. It is the donor’s preference that the awards be fewer in number and larger in amount; that they be renewable for a second year only in extraordinary circumstances; that graduates of Kansas high schools be preferred where the requirement of academic excellence is not compromised in such a selection; and that graduates with either non-existent or more limited financial means be given a priority of consideration. The amounts of the awards and the recipients thereof in Political Science shall be determined by an appropriate committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
