YARICK-MORGAN PRIZE FOR EXCELLENCE

The income from, but not the principal of, the Yarick-Morgan Fund shall be used to provide an annual award to one or more students, which may be in the form of a graduate scholarship, to be known as the Yarick-Morgan Prize for Excellence to recognize and encourage the academic as well as all-around excellence of a student completing an undergraduate course of study within the Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Kansas. The recipients of the awards shall be selected from students who are in their senior year of undergraduate studies with a demonstrated record of academic excellences, who have completed participation in the University Honors Program, and who intend to enter graduate school at the University of Kansas. Provided that such students qualify for the Yarick-Morgan Prize in all other respects, preference shall be given to students from Marshall County, Kansas. Recipients of the Yarick-Morgan Prize shall be selected by an appropriate committee appointed by the Chancellor.
