Scholarship Petition for Reinstatement

We will consider appeals if you have mitigating circumstances, unplanned or dire catastrophes (such as sudden illness, accident, injury, death of a close family member, and/or other circumstance(s) for which you could not prevent, influence, or be prepared for) that prevented you from meeting the scholarship renewal criteria. The committee cannot round up a student’s GPA. Appeals submitted without supporting documentation will not be accepted. The deadline to submit a scholarship appeal is September 18th, 2026. Late appeals will not be accepted.

The Financial Aid & Scholarships office completes is annual review of a recipient’s cumulative KU GPA at the end of the spring semester. Students with FAS scholarship will be sent notification to their KU email if they met or did not renew the scholarship for the upcoming academic year.
