University Scholars Application

The University Scholars program provides second-year students with the opportunity to deepen their interests and foster interdisciplinary connections through a spring-semester seminar experience and additional faculty mentoring. Students are selected for the program based on their academic performance and leadership potential. The information that you provide on your application will help reviewers to learn about your interests and aspirations. Please review the program description available at University Scholars | University Honors Program before completing your application.

A complete application will include student essay responses and recommendations from two individuals familiar with your achievements. At least one of your recommendations should come from someone who has taught you in a KU course. Please remember to contact your recommenders ahead of submitting your application.

Students do not need to be members of the University Honors Program to apply to the University Scholars program.
